This statement describes how Stressman Engineering AS collects and processes data that you provide to us or that we collect via the company’s website.

The company is responsible for your personal data. All inquiries to the company must be made through contact information listed under § 7.

When you visit the site, we automatically collect information about you. This can be which browser you use, which keywords you use on our website, IP address and computer information. All this is done to optimize website conversion, improve this and do targeted marketing. We do not register data about your name, where you live, etc., which means that you will be treated anonymously.

When you sign up for our newsletter, send us an inquiry via our contact form or sign up for one of our events via sign-up forms, you agree that we may collect information about you. This is typically the name, address, email address, telephone number and any other information we need to conduct meetings and activities.

We use the information we collect in connection with your newsletter sign-up to administer your subscription, to provide you with direct marketing, and to inform you of our services and anything else that you have given your own consent for us to send to you.

The basis of the information collection

Collection of information as mentioned above, is necessary for us to improve usability and provide you with relevant information.

We will only use the IP address to determine your geographical location if we have received your consent and the collection of information is necessary for us to fulfill our agreement with you.

We only collect other information as stated above if you give your express consent.

Using data processors

Stressman Engineering AS is responsible for the data and should not be used for any purpose other than performing the contract with us. In cases where we use external data processors, the responsibility for the data will be secured through the data processor’s own certification.
One of these data management examples is Google Analytics att: Google Inc, established in the US. Appropriate safeguards for the transfer of information to the United States are ensured through the data processor’s certification under EU-US privacy. A copy of the certification can be found here

Your rights

Please find information about your rights below.

Insight

You have the right at any time to inquire what kind of information we have recorded of you, what the purpose of the registration is, what categories of personal data, possible recipients of information, as well as information about the origin of the data.

You have the right to receive a copy of the personal details we process about you. For the delivery of multiple copies, we will charge a fee of NOK 100.00. If you would like a copy of your personal data, please send a written request, together with identification that you are the person in question (copy of passport / driver’s license etc.)

The right to answer

You have the right to correct errors in personal data that we have registered about you. If you become aware that there is an error in the information we have recorded about you, please send us a written inquiry with the corrected information.

The right to erase

You have the right to have some or all of your personal information deleted by us, for example if you withdraw your consent to our registrations. To the extent that the processing of your information is necessary, for example to comply with our statutory obligations, we are not obligated to delete the personal data.

The right to restrict processing for storage

You also have, in some instances, the right of limited processing of your personal data to consist solely of storage, for example if you believe that the information we process about you is incorrect.

The right to data mobility

You have the right to keep your personal data in a structured, frequently used and machine-readable format, and the right to transfer this information when we collect your personal information in connection with:

• that you consent to using the IP address to determine your geographical location
• that you consent to signing up for the newsletter
• that you consent to the registration of activities and meetings

The right to object

You have the right at any time for special reasons to oppose our processing of your personal information that we collect for use to improve the usability of the website.

You are also entitled at any time to object to our processing of your personal data that we process in connection with direct marketing.

If you do not accept this treatment, we will no longer have the right to process your personal information unless we can show legitimate reasons for continuing the treatment.

The right to revoke consent

You have the right at any time to revoke your consent to use the IP address to determine your geographical location, consent to sign up for our newsletter or sign up for our meetings and activities. If you revoke your consent, we may still, in some cases, be entitled to continue treatment, and in such cases you will receive information about it.

The right to complain

You have the right to send a complaint to the Data Inspectorate, PO Box 8177 Dep., 0152 Oslo, Norway for our processing of your personal data.

5 Deleting personal information

If you do not use our site for a period of 1 year, we will automatically delete the information that we have registered about you, which we are not required by law to store for an extended period of time.
Information that we have collected in connection with your consent that we may send you marketing emails, SMS and email, we will delete if you consent, unless we have the right to continue processing.

Information that we have collected in connection with the subscription to the newsletter, we will delete if you contact us about it. All newsletters you will have the opportunity to subscribe and unsubscribe. If a cancellation is made, we will automatically delete the data we have collected about you.

Security

VWe have implemented necessary technical and organizational security measures against accidental or unlawful destruction, disappearance, alteration or deterioration of personal data, as well as against the knowledge or misuse of third parties.
Only employees who need to access your personal information to do the job can access it.
