Stress analysis: What’s the purpose?

By definition, stress-strain analysis (or stress analysis) is an engineering discipline that uses many methods to determine the stresses and strains in materials and structures subjected to forces.

Stress analysis provides great insight into the mechanics of a solid. It can help engineers determine how products will perform throughout their lifetimes.

The topmost for Stressman Engineering is: Why do we do it? and, In prioritized order, we do it to reduce the potential of:

1. Human losses
2. Environmental losses
3. Large economical losses
